“Pinhead” by the Ramones
TV host Steve Allen hated Rock & Roll, and he used to get a laugh by reciting Rock lyrics like they were poetry, his tongue firmly planted in his cheek. I guess his point was that Rock & Roll is “dumb.” You still hear that same complaint from critics, and it’s still utterly beside the point. Just listen to the Ramones. What does “gabba gabba hey” mean, you ask? Dee Dee Ramone might answer, Who the fuck cares?
